Breastfeeding support

Advocate Trinity Hospital is proud to be the first hospital in Chicago to be designated Baby-Friendly, a worldwide breastfeeding quality improvement project created by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The designation recognizes the highest level of breastfeeding support a hospital can offer to moms and babies.

  • Care for expectant mothers with diabetes, fibroids, heart disorders and other chronic or emergency conditions.
  • State-of-the-art monitoring and testing, including fetal monitoring, ultrasound, amniocentesis, oxytocin challenge testing (OCT) and nonstress testing (NST).
  • 1:1 nurse-patient ratio that provides the best delivery support for high-risk mothers.

Maternal health navigation services at select locations

We’re committed to supporting you at every stage of your pregnancy. That’s why we’re proud to offer maternal health navigation services at select OB-GYN offices throughout South Chicago.

These services provide prenatal care coordination for women facing a high-risk pregnancy. This includes women with complex obstetric histories, certain pregnancy-related diagnoses, elevated depression screening scores or significant social challenges.
